At long last, the first five chapters of my vignettes are online! Click here
to read about my childhood in Chesham Bois.
Click "HOME" at the bottom of any vignette to return to this page.

I grew up in Chesham Bois near Amersham in Buckinghamshire, England.
In 1961 I emigrated to Canada and lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario until
September 1998 when I moved to London, Ontario. Then in December 2001 I moved again - to Kitchener, Ontario.

I would really like to get in touch with any friends who might remember
me, so I'll give you some clues:
- I attended Dr. Challoner's Grammar School in Amersham.
- I trained as an Occupational Therapist in London, England, and worked
at Stoke Mandeville Spinal Injuries Centre in Bucks.
- I was very active in both English & Scottish Folk Dancing in London and
the surrounding area.

I am presently working on my Family Tree and would really appreciate any
information about any of these names:
- Suzanne (Reddick) and Edward Matto in England.
- Alice (Dussault) and Ernest Reddick in England or France.
- The surnames Dussault and Desbonnet in France or Algiers.
- Maria (Olmi) and Caesar Matto in England or Italy.
- The surname Olmi in Ivrea, near Milan, Italy.

One of my hobbies is photography.

In August 1999, I adopted a new dog. Her name is 'Sunshine' and she is
a Brussels Griffon! She had been lost, and was at Cambridge Humane
Society, waiting for me! My daughter found her there, and called me in
London to come and see her! I drove over fast, while Michelle played
with her outside, so she couldn't be bought in the meantime!! When I
arrived, it was love at first sight, and she has been a wonderful friend
and companion to me ever since! A bond made in heaven!!

The Brussels Griffon breed is not very well known in Canada, so I have
included some links below for you to follow if you wish to know more
about them. Two are official websites - one in the U.S. and one in
England, and the
third belongs to a good friend who has lovely Griffs, and gives plenty
of first-hand information about them! Thanks so much for the link, Terri!!
